This is the Ruchikasana pose.
This piece can be about struggle, about locking oneself away, or it can be about coming to peace. Bending, struggling, balancing, jailing parts of ourselves that would run amok if not locked away. The inspiration for this painting came from observing loved ones learn to handle addiction, anger, depression, etc.
