Starting the new year with figure poses. Upon being asked by a dear friend, at the wonderful age of eight, about my favorite color of paint, without thinking, I spontaneously answered "orange." Rather odd considering I have several shades of grey paintings. Orange is vibrant, quickly shading to healthy pink when lightened and lovely tan when darkened. It is the perfect color to start a small set of paintings based on this pose.
